| Bang Bang Shrimps |
Bang Bang Shrimp is a delicious appetizer that is spicy, crispy, creamy, if you like spicy sauce or food, then this seafood is for you and if you don’t like spicy you can still enjoy it by reducing the spicy to your spicy level tolerance. I have been making this recipe for years and I can’t be tired of eating it. So this past week made it for the kids and remembered I haven’t shared the recipe yet and decide to share it. Let’s get started!
Bang Bang Shrimps
- 1 Pound Shrimps (peeled, deveined)
- 2 Teaspoons Garlic powder
- Seasoning powder/cube
- 1/3 Cup Buttermilk
- 1/4 Cup Mayo
- 2 Tablespoon Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 Tablespoon Sriracha (you can add more)
- 1/3 Cup Sweet Chili Sauce (you can use more)
- 1/2 Cup Cornstarch (or more)
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper
In a bowl, add the cleaned peeled and deveined shrimps. Sprinkle some seasoning cube and salt over the shrimps. I like the seasoning to get to the shrimps and not the coating only.
Add the buttermilk, stir and let the shrimps soak it up, you can use more if you don't want to stir it. Just add more buttermilk to cover the shrimps.
-
Remove the shrimps from the buttermilk.
-
Coat the shrimps with the cornstarch. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of this step.
-
In a saucepan add oil and heat to about 350 degrees F.
-
Fry the coated shrimps (in a single layer) on both sides until golden brown. Remove and drain on a line plate lined with paper towels.
